Our story started in a small garage in 1959, when Sky Ball began A to Z Auto Service. The business quickly out grew the small shop. In 1963, our current location was built. To help, grow the business, Sky began buying tow trucks to tow cars in for repair. Towing cars lead to towing trucks and performing many recoveries over the years. Sky was an innovator and had a different way of doing things. Long before rotators, A to Z had cranes for recovery. With crane work and towing came our first tractor trailer and traveling tail trailer, followed by the low bed trailer. Sky's son, Ed, joined him in the family business in 1983 and continued to build the low bed and trucking business. In 2009, Ed's son, Ed Jr., started at A to Z, the third generation to work here. Our family run and operated business has become a reliable, experienced leader in transportation of freight, equipment, and oversize loads servicing New Jersey, New York including the five boroughs, and the Northeast.
